  • Jeffrey Biegel says:

Very endearing and beautiful. Thanks for sharing this, Norman.

  • Nick says:

Didn’t just about every pop singer take the stage with Pavarotti during his annual Modena extravaganzas?

    • A Colleague says:

      Yes, so?

    • Alastair Miles says:

James Brown certainly did – they sang It’s A Man’s World together – and, morbid coincidence, Brown also died on Christmas Day, in 2006…

    • V.Lind says:

They were great fun. And basically my introduction to pop music for the first time since schooldays — opened up my ears. I did not see the last few, though, so missed George Michael. But I became a fan of several artists I had not previously known: the Cranberries, Sheryl Crow, the fabulous Italian rocker Zucchero.

Pav once did a duet with Elton John called Live Like Horses, in English and Italian, which still sends shivers down my spine if I hear it.
