Major opera house seeks chorus master, starting next week

Walter Huff has told the company he’s stepping down after 28 years in charge of one of the strongest choral ensembles in US opera.

He has given no reason, other than his teaching commitments, and he’s leaving this weekend.

That’s a big pair of shoes to fill – and fast.

    Walter is a true gentleman and fantastic musician. IU is lucky to have him.

    Color me stupid for not knowing he was leaving Atlanta Opera until i clicked around the site. There was no space to mention that in the original posting?
