Director quits Onegin two weeks before opening
mainTwo weeks before opening night, the Dutch director Jim Lucassen has resigned from the Frankfurt Oper production of Tchaikovsky’s opera, apparently on health grounds.
The production will be carried forward by assistant director Dorothea Kirschbaum.
It is conducted by Frankfurt music director Sebastian Weigle.
