Paris cancels Phantom of the Opera

A fire at the Théatre Mogador has deprived the Andrew Lloyd Webber show of its stage. The entire run, due to start October 13, has been called off.

This was meant to be its Paris premiere.

    Well, lucky old Paris, they won’t have to suffer The Music of The Night et al and if they want to hear real Puccini they can visit the Opera at the Bastille.

    The Phantom strikes…Shame, it’s a great piece and would have gone down very well in Paris.
