Concertmaster dies, aged 98
mainJohn Lambros, who died on Thursday in Charleston, was concertmaster of the Charleston Symphony Orchestra – renamed the West Virginia Symphony Orchestra – for longer than anyone can remember.
In all he played in the first violins for 55 years – and goes straight into the Slipped Disc list of longest serving orchestral musicians.
