  • Robert Holmén says:

    Wonderful idea for a competition.

  • Herbert Pauls says:

    Congratulations, Thomas!

  • Erwin says:

Did he play some of Liszt’s Transcen-dental Studies?

  • Sue says:

You mean this competitor exchanged the teeth in his dental clinic for the huge ‘teeth’ of a Steinway grand? Yeah, that’s fair.

    • Paul Davis says:

You surely mean he won the contest in the teeth of fierce competition….
His technique must have been well drilled.

      • Erwin says:

Who was it again who wrote: “there’s nothing so relaxing after attending a long piano recital as going to the dentist and having my teeth drilled”? James Huneker?

      • Dave T says:

It was close. He only won by the scale of teeth.

        • Sue says:

By my calculus he’d have the wisdom of Mercury to get his teeth sunk into this competition. Without an x-ray of light between the competitors, a bunch of old molars and a cast of thousands if ever there were any!! Nothing false about these metaphors.

    • Paul Davis says:

If you study the foto more closely you’ll notice he didn’t go the usual root of the Stanway Grind…! Which makes his win even more Fazinating.

  • Una says:

Ha, ha, love the humour from you all – first time I’ve laughed since the Referendum (no, not really!!)

Someone told me my dentist down in London is training or has trained at a pilot …. oo, er!
