Lost Schumann manuscript turns up in US

The Saxon government has paid an undisclosed sum for Robert Schumann’s sketches for his first piano trio, offered for sale by a US dealer.

The 25-page notebook, dated 1847, once belonged to the town of Zwickau. The purchase price was in six figures.
