Andreas Scholl has an Israeli wife, the pianist Tamar Halperin, and a deep immersion in her culture.

Now it has taken him into a creative exchange with Idan Raichel, a folk-rock performer who writes songs in Hebrew for Andreas.

Very happy to learn of this — Scholl is really golden. I’ve never heard him do anything I didn’t enjoy thoroughly.
