  • Olassus says:

    Pathetic!

    • Garrett says:

Why is that ‘pathetic’ and what gives you the presumptuous attitude to say that? Perlman is the greatest violinist of our time and a living legend. He’s done everything there is and more. So keeping it fresh and dynamic is certainly a noble goal.

      • Olassus says:

He is a living legend, with resources, clout and influence — and that is why he ought to have a greater goal in life than merely keeping *himself* from being bored. Think of Isaac Stern and the goals and achievements he had late in life.

        • nick says:

Yes, think of Isaac Stern! I suggest you read some of the plethora of earlier posts some time ago about how Stern all but destroyed some careers and kept many major artists out of Carnegie Hall promoted events. Stern is a very poor example!

          • Olassus says:

Didn’t know that. I had a favorable impression of Isaac Stern as the man who saved Carnegie Hall.

    • Stereo says:

      Yes Olassus you are pathetic!!

  • Milka says:

He certainly bores the rest of us………

    • Robert Roy says:

      Really?!

He’s one of the great musicians of all time and his playing will live for a long time. As for his talking, well, anyone with his life experience has got to be worth hearing.

    • Harold Lewis says:

Oh, we shouldn’t discourage the milk of human kindness from commenting here. We sorely need the warmth of his/her generosity in these pages.

  • Audience Member says:

I’ve heard Perlman speak from stage on a few occasions and love listening to what he has to say. If you’ve done everything there is to do, I’m sure you’ve also seen and experience such interesting things. I’d go!
