Despite the weather, all performances this weekend are scheduled to take place as planned. If you are unable to attend due to weather conditions, please get in touch with us at your earliest convenience by calling 212-362-6000.
Please be aware that we are experiencing increased call volume at the moment; if you cannot get through, please try again at a later date. Thanks and stay safe this weekend.
UPDATE: An hour later, the Met announced the cancellation of Saturday afternoon and evening performances.
The fact that the tone deaf Gelb thought he could run performances today with orchestra, chorus members and stage hands who live in Long Island, New Jersey and Connecticut is another example of crappy leadership. (Let alone seat holders who come from the same area and some further away.) The Governor and the Mayor have issued travel bans by car and most trains are not running. He really is that stupid.
He is exactly the sort of person who “doesn’t look out the window”! Hey Peter, look out the window. Nothing on Broadway is moving and all the performances of plays and musicals have been cancelled!
Seems to think it can open tonight.
The first Met subscribers included members of the Morgan, Roosevelt, and Vanderbilt families, all of whom had been excluded from the Academy. http://www.allticketonline.com/Metropolitan-Opera
