Corinne Auguin, former finance chief of the Opéra de Bordeaux, has gone on trial on charges of stealing 2.27 million Euros over a period of ten years. The money was reportedly traced to her personal account, and her husband’s.

‘She was the Robespierre of accounts,’ said one of the singers. ‘You had to fight to get her to pay for a bottle of water.

The trial continues.
