Sicklist: Harnoncourt cancels Christmas
mainNikolaus Hanoncourt, who will be 86 on December 6, has been poorly in recent months. He has cancelled a pair of pre-Christmas birthday concerts at the Vienna Musikverein next week.
He will be replaced by Erwin Ortner, conductor of the Arnold Schoenberg choir.
We wish Nikolaus Harnoncourt a full recovery. He is scheduled to conduct Fidelio in Vienna, mid-January.
I hope he feels better! He is such a wonderful conductor!
