This is recent video of the Russian president playing at being a musician.
You can’t see his hands so there’s no way of knowing who’s producing the notes.
(Denis Matsuev, maybe?)
Here’s an older, more credible video of presidential pianism.

The humor of playing the Darth Vader Theme is the point here isn’t?
The movement of the upper arms doesn’t seem likely to be that of those, err, moving the hands 🙂 Especially in the splayed octaves in the RH.
But as Mark says above, that may not be the underlying meaning of this vid ))
It’s a well kept secret, but actually Putin originally aspired to be a great concert pianist. He entered the Tchaikovsky Competition in 1972, but failed miserably in the first round. As a revenge and with the help of the head of the KGB, he later relentlessly harassed the winner of that year, Andrei Gavrilov, who later fled the country.
Andrei Gavrilov has won the competition in 1974, not 1972.
Seems a bit far fetched!
