Join New York Mets mascot Mr. Met, musicians from the Metropolitan Opera Join New York Mets mascot Mr. Met, musicians from the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra and Chorus as well as Stagehands, Electricians, and Props personnel, Security personnel, and other employees as we cheer on the Mets for the start of their first World Series since 2000!

We’ll be wearing New York Mets or Met Opera apparel and/or blue and orange and invite you to do the same!

    It,. in no way, failed. It was fun having the iconic mascot lead the fight song, and get a cultural group involved. Lets Go Mets!

    If a few more Met fans were also Mets fans, there might be a lot less nastiness in forums like this. I love baseball, though my season ended on Friday night in Kansas City, so for now I too am saying “Let’s Go, Mets.” I have a very old teddy bear named after a former Mets reliever! “You Gotta Believe…

    It’s been a long 15 years since my team went to the World Series. Mr. Met belongs at the Met just like everyone else. LET’S GO METS!

    Now if the Met Orch played at the next Mets game and the Maestro could stand and throw out the first pitch…well then that would be epic.

      Too much to hope for, most likely. Maestro is unable even to sit down to conduct Lulu this season, but unlike the NY Times critic I’m not parked outside the burning house waiting eagerly for the body to fall out the window. You have to take what he can give and treasure it.
