Czech concertmaster leaves Russia with his violin

Josef Spacek, concertmaster of the Czech Philharmonic, landed at Prague in the past hour carrying his precious 1855 Vuillaume. The violin was confiscated six days ago by Customs officials at Ekaterinburg Koltsovo airport.

Here’s Josef, home at last.
