Scott Michael Ligocki played principal viola with Pacific Northwest Ballet in Seattle. He also performed with the Seattle Symphony, Seattle Opera and many other ensembles.

A Curtis graduate, he is survived by his parents and sister, to whom we send condolences.

  • Robert Fitzpatrick says:

Scott graduated from Curtis in 1989 and was a student of Michael Tree and the late Karen Tuttle. I remember him well and believe he went with the Curtis Orchestra to Evian (les Rencontres Musicales d’Evian) in May 1989 when Slava was the Musical Director. Requiescat in pace.

  • MacroV says:

What a shame. I’ve known Scott (more off than one) for over 30 years. Terrific violist, very nice guy. We played the Beethoven Septet one summer that remains a cherished memory of my musical youth.
