Orchestra violinist flies off to aid African refugees
mainDymphna Halls-Smith, a violinist in the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra, decided when she was 29 to volunteer as a medic in the Australian Army Reserves.
That led to a nursing degree and career change. Recently, Dymphna joined Medecins Sans Frontieres (MSF) in Tanzania, helping refugees from the civil war in Burundi.
She tells the ABC about it here.
