Is this newsworthy? Just askin’ that’s all.
Well, she was a rather controversial person in Germany’s cultural life. She was in charge of the author’s rights of her father’s works – and she had a very close eye on what Germany’s directors did with them. She repeatedly forced productions to be removed because of too far reaching modifications of the original text.
==Is this newsworthy?
Err, yes. I was interested
Definitely newsworthy given her control over the estate.I had the pleasure of touring her and her husband,the wonderful Ekkehard Schall,in the 80’s in a Brecht program.I was most amused that the royalties went to a Swiss account!
Thank you Greg, Jonathan and Simon.
It was of interest to me. I wouldn’t have known about what Simon said. So yeah, it interested me enough to read about it. (NOTE: If something doesn’t interest me, I don’t take out time to comment that it didn’t interest me. )
