We are saddened to learn of the death today of Marina Veniaminova Wolf, aged 87.
Her students in St Petersburg included Stanislav Igolinsky, Pavel Yegorov, Grigory Gruzman, Polina Osetinskaya, Alexandre Pirojenko, Eduard Kiprsky and Rustam Muradov.

Dear Norman, very sad report indeed.
Had a great pleasure of meeting Marina Wolf on numerous occasions – enormously charismatic lady, she was much more than just a teacher to generations of wonderful musicians. They were her friends, her family, just as she was theirs. She will be missed dearly.
