Well, at least Gergiev has talent, so let’s not lump him together with Spivakov, although for sucking-up to the rich & powerful, Spivakov has NO equal — he has the brownest nose in the business.
After Putin came to power, Spivakov was baptized in the Russian Orthodox church, perhaps because he felt that as a Jew he would not have such easy access to Putin’s favors.
