Andrea Jenkyns, the Conservative who beat Labour’s shadow chancellor in West Yorkshire, is a professional singer and songwriter who claims to have ‘a four-octave range up to F6’.

We got quite excited on spotting a Schoenberg clip on her music website. Unfortunately, it’s from Les Miserables.

Now that Ed Balls has more time for his piano practice, perhaps he should start working on the Liszt Totentanz

    • Furzwaengler says:

Liszt’s bleakNuages Gris might accord more to Balls’s mood, besides being considerably more in line with his pianistic ability. A bonus is that that we shan’t have to listen to him spouting his load of b***s any longer.

    3. Bring Him Home
    Written by Schönberg
    Les Miserable.

It seems disingenuous to claim that anybody would see this and think that the piece was by Arnold Schoenberg.

  • Kurt Link says:

So, she could sing BOTH Sarastro and the Queen of the Night? (F2-F6 covers that 4 octave range she claims to possess)
