Actually, the marketing is almost the cleverest part of the programme: Kids under 18 get in half-price between Thanksgiving and New Year, so long as their ticket is urchased with a full-priced one.

Am I counting incorrectly or is it 25 operas, 3 of them in German, 1 in French, 1 in English, and 20 in Italian?
Real changing of the guard. Few “stars” remaining. It feels as if we’re entering a phase when no singer will capture the imagination like so many before. A post-opera star phase.
Sad to see Blythe and Hampson not represented. The lack of Fleming is not a surprise, but still unfortunate to see. Has Netrebko seen a loss of status?
