Soloist in the Mozart piano concerto K488 is Menahem Pressler, aged 91, making no concessions to his age.

Not as long as he still enjoys performing and is able to maintain the required standard and ability (all of which he does).

Many thanks to Mr. Lebrecht for bringing to our attention such beautiful playing. I still don’t understand though why Mrs. Merkel is mentioned.
She was possibly mentioned because like me, and several thousand others, she was in the audience, but unlike me [thankfully] she got some camera attention.
“Menahem Pressler plays for mrenterzarco” possibly doesn’t have the same ring to it.
His playing was extraordinary.
You are absolutely correct Mrenterzarco. And in these times where philistinism is becoming ever more widespread in politics, it’s always worth mentioning high ranking politicians who are frequent patrons or better yet, supporters of arts institutions.
Not available for New Zealand either.
