    top notes of ylang ylang?

  • Kentley says:

Rumor has it that the secret of this powerful scent is a soupcon of cat urine, in commemoration of Mr. Lang’s first and most enduring influence: a Tom and Jerry cartoon.

  • Kentley says:

    …loved “irony-free zone”, Norman L.

  • Samuel L. Bronkowitz III says:

Who actually gives a toss about Lang Lang?

    • Ellingtonia says:

Well possibly the many thousands who have bought his records, the orchestras that work with him and not least the conductors who continue to invite him as a soloist. But perhaps I am missing something?

  • Roland says:

I find this crass and the entire Lang Lang marketing machine revolting. This guy is so totally into the business and money aspect of music making that one must question whether his music making is a secondary occupation for him. There is nothing wrong with a certain level of commercialism, but with Lang lang it has gone too far. He is like a modern day Liberace, who is more show than substance and he will sadly be remembered for that. I also never found his pianism deep, reflective or truly probing. Focussing on perfume, shoes and the many other consumer goods that he has endorsed only confirms to me that he is a marketing machine first and a musician second, or perhaps third or fourth.

  • Eric Mendelson says:

His playing stinks. I hope his new scent is better.
