Orchestra boss, facing 16 years for embezzlement, previously killed his wife

Stephen Jay Carlton, 46, has been convicted of stealing $272,000 from a California orchestra. ButĀ it appearsĀ he has a prior conviction for manslaughter over strangling his wife, possibly in a sexual accident. So they’re throwing awat the key.

    A sicko and a thief. I wonder – when he applied for the job at Peninsula Symphony, were the other applicants carrying records for worse crimes? Is that why they chose him with the voluntary manslaughter conviction? Strange indeed.
