Curious about your use of “fulsome” here. His admiration could certainly be described as abundant, but I detect no insincerity.
I read these books — Silence, A Year from Monday — as a student (of literature, not music) many moons ago. Thanks for reminding me that they are in a box somewhere — time to root them out for a revisitation.
