Home run! Joyce wins reprieve from Kansas City Royals

KC Royals have agreed that members of the KC Symphony will play the anthem at Game 6.
If – and it’s a big if – the series runs to game 7, the anthem will be sung by …. local heroine, Joyce DiDonato.
Here’s rooting for the Royals.
It’s not the Royals who outright decide this, but rather over-riding body of Major League Baseball, together.
Assuming that DiDonato will be paid for the gig, this is good news.

Actually, JdD is scheduled to sing for Game 7, Wednesday. The Kansas City Symphony did the honors for Game 6, Tuesday. Clearly this was a great victory for classical music as the heroes clobbered the Giants 10-0.
