Don’t forget that it was a young Andy Williams who supplied the singing voice for Lauren Bacall in “To have and have not”. Suited her down to the ground 🙂 What a wonderful sexy lady she was, and what a wonderful life she had and enjoyed with us all. Humphrey Bogart and Jason Robarts must both be very happy that she has finally joined them up in the Silver Screen Heaven in the Sky, wherever it might be. A loss for us, but nice for them 🙂
Andy Williams…. who knew?
It has been common knowledge for decades. Also Rita Hayworth never sang.
Hence the plot of Singin’ in the Rain, a typical Hollywood practice. Bacall’s lines with Bogart in “The Big Sleep” were sheer artistry.
Andy Williams? Not according to this writer:

Since it was for Bernstein’s 70th, Bacall would have been 63. She looks fabulous as she always did.
