http://www.whopaysartists.com/ is appealing for information.

Inspired by Whopayswriters.com it hopes to lay bare the economic facts in music and other arts.

Most submissions so far are from the visual arts. Nothing classical.

Yet.

    A cursory look at the list of submissions, there are mentions of a commission by a Youth Orchestra. And a conductor working on 6 rehearsals, 1 performance for 48 Euros. Your conclusion not quite justified.

    Well here’s one for a start….Birmingham Royal Ballet and Rombert Dance company will pay thery new conducting fellow (read assistant/cover conductor) ……nothing…..
