A giant portrait of Franz Schubert was created this morning by the East Neuk Festival on the Scottish coast to highlight its forthcoming ‘Schubertiad’ weekend. Then the tide rolled in and washed it all away. Pictures exclusive to Slippedisc.com.
The East Neuk Festival’s Schubertiad is a day and a half (Saturday 5 & Sunday 6 July) of Schubert’s music in concert from morning ‘til night, led by pianist Christian Zacharias and also featuring pianist Llyr Williams, the Gould Piano Trio, soprano Malin Christensson, members of the Belcea Quartet and Scottish Chamber Orchestra.
