The most fun I’ve had all week with a maestro and four principals

The London Symphony Orchestra flew into Mumbai, India, at the end of a gruelling Asian tour and went straight into a choral workshop with barefoot kids from the hoods  and a drunken sailor. Start watching at 1:20 after the prelims. You won’t regret a precious second of it.

  • Thanks Norman for bringing this to our attention. How amazingly wonderful. Bravo to the LSO Principals, Daniel Harding and Andy Staples and to all the children!

  • Was the kind of bow you are holding in your homepage pic ever used to play a double bass (or similar string instrument) in the 18th century?
