    • Is it? Not convinced. Unless you take an individual principal’s salary form one orchestra, where in the top orchestras (and the Barbican would count as a top centre, so it’s a fair comparison if you feel you have to make one) the principal may be contacted to work 50% or less of the time for that salary. Multiply it up to a full time position, and I’m sure it’s more than the mid-range here.
