He may not turn a proft, but he’s one of the best. Actually, who said he should turn a profit at all? The Austrians don’t seem terribly worried about it…
The only ones losing money must be those Austrians trying to run a serious institution. As is their wont, they must engage too much on innuendo and intrigue to run the place. Evidently, the exceptions did not.
How can a COMPOSER who is performed and recorded much more than ever before be losing money? Well, it takes a human, no less.
It’s not Bruckner who’s responsible, Linz simply is not attrative enough for tourism. Maybe a reader here can try to sell me a trip to Linz?
