Kathy was a wonderful violinist, a good colleague and a great friend. I will never forget her great sense of humor and infectious laughter during our years together as students of Josef Gingold in Bloomington. She will be sorely missed!

Devastating news. I remember Cathy from our student days with Mr. Gingold at I.U. She was such a natural violinist; her playing seemed effortless. Wonderful, wonderful person. Very sad to hear this

Mr. Lebrecht, thank you for your kind words.

I joined the CSO as principal bass in 1996. For the past 17 years, Cathy sat directly in my line of vision. She was an absolute inspiration to me, a paragon of passion, commitment and integrity. We all miss this amazing violinist and friend.
