Singer is shot dead in smoking dispute
mainSome said no good would come of smoking bans. In Tennessee, it has claimed a life.
Country singer Wayne Mills, 44, was shot dead by bar owner Chris Ferrell, police say, after a disagreement over whether he was permitted to smoke indoors. Ferrell claims self-defence.
I’m guessing that the smoking argument may have been the catalyst, but that there’s more to this than just that.
It is all right to carry a gun in the United States, as long as it isn’t a smoking gun.
Had to happen sometime.
I wish someone would explain to me why anyone under the age of 50 — especially singers, brass players, and woodwinds — would start smoking.
The evidence (that it’s harmful) is clear, and it’s been out there for a long time.
In moderation, Jeffrey, like so many things, it doesn’t seem to be too harmful. The occasional cigar can be quite enjoyable.
Tennessee? Of course it was self-defence (or, as it will be on the plea, “self-defense”). It seems to be an almost fail-safe defence (defense) in the gun states.
