Ralph was a fine double bassist, a fine family man, filled with curiosity, compassion and love.
He will remembered for all those things and I will miss him.
Ralph was an institution in his own right – as Principal Bass of ASO, teacher to decades worth of aspiring high school and college students and as a warm, cheery and infectious personality. The stage does not look the same without him. Sadly missed and condolences to his family and ASO colleagues.
