The Canadian author wins 900,000 Euros. The Swedish Academy, unable to get hold of her, left a phone message.

Her Wikipedia entry, instantly updated, says her father was ‘a fox and poultry farmer’. Can’t have been both, surely?

    Wikipedia now says that he “was a fox and mink farmer”. How ephemerous job descriptions are these days.

    OK. I’ll plead ignorance here. What in the world is a fox farmer? (How far apart do you have to plant the rows of fox seed to grow new ones? When is the harvesting season? How much do they bring per ton of crop? 🙂
