Did you know there's a cancer molecule known as 'orchestra conductor'?

Its full name is Cellular Orchestra Conductor.  Or CPEB4.

Blocking it may retard the progress of certain aggressive cancers. Thought you’d like to know.

    Well, I hate to spoil the fun, but it’s actually called “cytoplasmic polyadenylation element binding protein 4”. The article was just using a metaphor.

    The all-time silliest name for a gene still has to be “sonic hedgehog”.
