Have major labels just seen an upturn in US sales?

Advance data suggest a one percent increase in 2011, against a 12.7 percent drop in 2010. But Digital Music News thinks it could be wishful thinking. Revenue is likely to be down again.

    – Any news on sales at Arkivmusic? That would give us a good idea about sales of recorded classical music in the US.
    – How are sales of DVDs doing, in the US and elsewhere?
    – Personally I am frustrated at seeing some interesting recorded concerts (Thieleman, LFO/Abbado… ) appear only on DVD. I am not prepared to pay the price difference between DVD and CD, because all I care for is the sound. Why do they release so many good concerts on DVD alone?
