Some pianists find this a useless endeavor. I think it’s extraordinary.
I listened to Mr. Schmidt with great interest. He deserves a standing ovation for his violin playing. However with all due respect to Mr. Sivan, it is a great excercise for the violinsts. I would recommand it to students as a challenge but not as a concert piece.
