Forget the politics, the music plays on.

A ‘Jewish-Moslem metal band’ from Bat Yam, south of Tel Aviv has built a huge fan base for its gigs in Turkey.

Next stop Egypt, they tell Reuters.

The band is called Orphaned Land. Here’s how they look –

– and here’s how they sound: http://www.youtube.com/user/OrphanedLandTV#p/a/u/1/JlZlkq37S8c

Thank you Norman for bringing this to my attention. I love it. I really am too old to like this music but you know what – I think its great!!. I also read the band’s remarks, when being interviewed and it struck me the difference between young people and the middle aged/old that inhabit the hallowed portals of The Albert Hall. This gave me a wonderful feeling of hope, to go to bed with. Thanks.
