I know you do not like the russians…but “or Russia starts a war” is more than inappropriate for my opinion!!!

Long live the Russian-German friendship, which has given the world such gems like the Polish partitions, the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact or North Stream 2!

    • Anon says:

Comparing Northstream pipelines to the Molotov-Ribbentrop pact is absolutely cuckoo. Get over your phobia. Currently it’s more the US meddling in Eastern Europe than anything German-Russian based that is damaging European unity. Will the Poles ever be able to step up and play a constructive role in Europe?

Russia has already started the war, on the internet, and it won the first battle when it got the Brits to vote Brexit, it won the second battle when it elected Trump, it lost the third battle in France when Macron won, and it drew in the fourth battle in Germany when Merkel won but still can’t form a coalition government.

Tanks will roll into Eastern Europe well before 2025 and the West will have no collective spine to stop Putin.

  • Gregor Tassie says:

What a really stupid comment ‘Or Russia starts a war’ , you like continuing this phoney war between the west and the former USSR. Unforgiveable statement, music is supposed to bring people together is it not????

  • Elizabeth Owen says:

They certainly seem to be working him harder than the LSO did.

the usual pseudo political bullshit aside,a wise decision.Fantastic musician, the Munich Phil is back on the map after the downslide after Celi´s death. The musicians like him, they are going a lot on tour internationally, have their own record label.

    ‘or Russia starts a war’

    No sign of that.
More likely the US will be lifting their perpetual war against Russia from the under cover level to a more open level.
But do the masses ever look behind the smoke screens? Will their minds not be blinded by propaganda? It’s hopeless I guess.

Any comment on the relationship between Munich Phil and Mr.Gergiev? But after thinking for 15 seconds, I noticed that I have never heard this duo…yet I often listen to Thielemann+Munich Phil or Gergiev+Mariinsky, LSO.
