Or Russia starts a war.

I know you do not like the russians…but “or Russia starts a war” is more than inappropriate for my opinion!!!

  2. almaviva says:

Long live the Russian-German friendship, which has given the world such gems like the Polish partitions, the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact or North Stream 2!

    1. Anon says:

Comparing Northstream pipelines to the Molotov-Ribbentrop pact is absolutely cuckoo. Get over your phobia. Currently it’s more the US meddling in Eastern Europe than anything German-Russian based that is damaging European unity. Will the Poles ever be able to step up and play a constructive role in Europe?

      1. Gonout Backson says:

        Yeah, right.

        Finally, didn’t they provoke WW2?

        Ugh…

  3. herrera says:

Russia has already started the war, on the internet, and it won the first battle when it got the Brits to vote Brexit, it won the second battle when it elected Trump, it lost the third battle in France when Macron won, and it drew in the fourth battle in Germany when Merkel won but still can’t form a coalition government.

Tanks will roll into Eastern Europe well before 2025 and the West will have no collective spine to stop Putin.

America has no one to blame for Trump but itself. Please, Trump is pure America: loud, brash, shameless, and dumb. And did I mention obese?

Norman, Americans don’t need to read this.

They also don’t need self-appointed censors.

          1. Olassus says:

I am waiting for Norman to remove the post, which attacks Americans.

      2. David says:

Why at the very mention of his name me bowels run thin. Misericordia!

    2. Anon says:

The Brexit vote had nothing to do with Russia and you’re really quite gullible and/or paranoid of you think it did.

          + 1 more

Yes, and it caused my central heating boiler to break down two weeks ago.

      Something must be done!

The first battle was won when the Moscow Supreme Court banned the American JW religion and their “extremist” literature/website so they could start confiscating all Watchtower property on Russian soil.

    5. Dave says:

What utter nonsense about Russia as the cause to all the world’s ills.

      1. Gonout Backson says:

Could you, please, show us where anyone here wrote anything of the kind.

  4. Gregor Tassie says:

What a really stupid comment ‘Or Russia starts a war’ , you like continuing this phoney war between the west and the former USSR. Unforgiveable statement, music is supposed to bring people together is it not????

    1. Gonout Backson says:

Like by playing Shostakovich 7th in “liberated” Tskhinvali ?

  5. Elizabeth Owen says:

They certainly seem to be working him harder than the LSO did.

  6. harold braun says:

the usual pseudo political bullshit aside,a wise decision.Fantastic musician, the Munich Phil is back on the map after the downslide after Celi´s death. The musicians like him, they are going a lot on tour internationally, have their own record label.

  7. Anon says:

    ‘or Russia starts a war’

    No sign of that.
More likely the US will be lifting their perpetual war against Russia from the under cover level to a more open level.
But do the masses ever look behind the smoke screens? Will their minds not be blinded by propaganda? It’s hopeless I guess.

    1. Gonout Backson says:

Remarkable respect for “the masses”… So putinesque.

Any comment on the relationship between Munich Phil and Mr.Gergiev? But after thinking for 15 seconds, I noticed that I have never heard this duo…yet I often listen to Thielemann+Munich Phil or Gergiev+Mariinsky, LSO.
