Has this sort of thing become earth-shattering news these days – the result of the audition for the principal trumpet at the Pittsburgh Symphony? Will there be reporting on the upcoming auditions for the principal trumpet at the San Diego Symphony?

    • Don Ciccio says:

Not earth-shattering, but one should perhaps know the musicians of a world class orchestra.

Just as earth shattering as transfers of world class football players and the casting of actors for major films. If you are interested in that particular field, you are grateful for the information. I am.

  • Guest says:

Who was playing principal over the summer and in the fall? I had been hearing them during that time period thinking it was the new guy and was very impressed. Only now do I realize he hasn’t even started yet! Better not disappoint.
