Dallas Morning News reports that special counsel Robert Mueller is investigating four major Trump donors with ties to President Putin and his inner circle. The four contributed $10 million to the Trump campaign and are being treated by investigators as ‘Putin proxies’.

Two are of close musical interest.

Alexander Shustorovich (left, below) is co-owner and chief executive of IMG Artists.

Len Blavatnik owns Warner Music.

The Shustorovich family background is fascinating and sometimes could be mistaken for the plot of a modern thriller.

This WSJ bit about his last cheque to the Republican party (which bounced) and their reasons for, ultimately, rejecting his donation…

And speaking of links to Putin, I’m surprised that you haven’t asked Mueller if he’s a descendant to Mahler, Norman. Gustav Mahler’s family spelled their last name a variety of different ways (at least 3 that I know of and one of them is spelled Mueller).
