How wonderful what a good man.

  • Nick says:

I had the enormous pleasure of working with this good man and wonderful artist soon after his recovery from leukaemia. He was nervous as his six-monthly check up was due the following week. I recall his telling me of his determination to do something to help find a cure for the illness. The resultant international Foundation has now raised more €500 million for research, the endowment of wards and a host of other projects, a good part of that from Jose Carreras’ annual charity concerts. Bravissimo, Jose!

  • Sue says:

Jose has been to hell and back on the cancer train. I wish him well.

The donation to Jena is just one of many projects undertaken by his foundation. He and his team fundraise major money and support leukaemia research, etc. More about it here: http://www.fcarreras.org/en/where-our-funds-come-from-and-how-we-distribute-them_856
