    Not to be pedantic here, but the Associate Principal in a U.S. orchestra is the person who plays when the Principal doesn’t (and maybe plays 3rd or 4th in a big piece if needed). So overall the #2 person in the section, but not the person who plays the 2nd trumpet part.

    Great cartoon, in any case.
