Sad death of Vienna’s former ballet chief
mainThe Vienna Opera has announced the death of Jan Stripling, head of the State Opera Ballet from 1993 to 1995.
Jan died in London on June 22, reportedly of the effects of Parkinson’s Disease. He was 75.
His choreography for Aida remains in the Vienna repertory.
