Virginia gets a music director

Benjamin Rous has been named music director of the Charlottesville Symphony at the University of Virginia.

He succeeds Kate Tamarkin, who has served 11 years.

    Might have been to head line this “Charlottesville [ or U.VA.] Gets a Music Director,” lest someone think that Jo Ann Falletta had left the Virginia Symphony.
