Touching tribute. I remember when John DeLutis died on tour with SFO – on tour, which featured Bruckner 4. Trombone players live and die for Bruckner. RIP, Mr. Davis.
What a magnificent player! And such excellent Sibelius from the musicians and conductor.
Don Davis was a great, great performer. He had a big tone and a huge soul.
